abby is not an unhappy girl, not really. she is just very very
discontent. you see, what abby really wants to do is ride horses bareback in
the circus. she wants pretty skirts in tulle and chalk
powder on her feet. she wants the tents and the lights and the smell
of cotton candy in her hair. and while this is what abby really wants to do,
what she actually does is help on her father's cherry farm. but day in and
day out, biting her mouth permanently stained from the juice, she waits and
watches - just hoping for the bright coloured trailers to appear in the dust
on the horizon.
