vera and vella do not speak. they do not even whisper. in fact,
they never make any noise at all. all i know are their names, which i found sweetly scrawled in the fog of my bathroom mirror one morning.
but they appear to be sweet girls, when they appear at all. they have the rather odd habit of disappearing if one looks at them for too long, leaving one wondering if you ever really saw them at all. i suspect they are ghosts, but cannot be certain.

and a bit of ribbon around their waist. on their feet are tiny grey slippers.
